All Purpose Rifle Featuring Lucid Optics L7 

The All Purpose Rifle Course was developed as a response to the specialization of the AR-15 Platform Rifle. At WyoTac we believe that the AR-15 is the most versatile weapon system ever made by man. Our course takes the student through 2 days of exposure, training and practice, showcasing all of the practical uses of the AR-15 Platform. We have partnered with Lucid Optics to bring you the L7 1-6 Low Power Variable Optic in order to maximize your potential with the Rifle. By the end of this course you will understand the basics of Defense, Competition, Hunting, and Long Range Precision without any modifications. This means you can use the same gun, optic, and ammunition for many different applications. Truly the All Purpose Rifle.

Optics: Includes Lucid Optics L7 1-6 Scope and Quick Detach mount, ammunition and 2 day course tuition.

Fundamentals of Defensive Pistol Level 2

Building on the skills introduced in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1: Training Your Mind And Body To Respond, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 2: Training For Real-Life Scenarios guides the serious defensive shooter through the necessary skill-building drills and techniques that can make the difference between dying and living and, equally importantly, simply living and truly prevailing.

LEVEL 1 is a PRE REQ TO THIS COURSE

Level Two builds on the skills introduced in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1: Training Your Mind and Body To Respond, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 2: Training For Real-Life Scenarios guides the serious defensive shooter through the necessary skill-building drills and techniques that can make the difference between dying and living and, equally importantly, simple living and truly prevailing. 

This course brings your mindset and physical training into line with the ways that the human mind and body react to stress, danger and violence. Defensive Shooting Fundamentals: Level 2 trains students to be a good shot on the range and a lifesaving shot in the real world. 

Students should bring:

Defensive Carbine 

This 2 day course takes students through the use of a carbine for self defense. 

From the Balance of Speed and Precision to the proper use of cover and more. 

Women On Target 

THE PERFECT PLACE TO START

If you’re curious about firearms, whether for personal defense or to learn a new sport, Women On Target® is the perfect place to start. These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach you firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate a firearm upon completion.

Women On Target® clinics are available only to women — it’s a safe and friendly environment whether you’re picking up a gun for the very first time or are just brushing off some dust and need a little refresher. You’ll immediately feel at ease in the half- or full-day clinics, and will be provided with a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate, but if you already have a firearm, please bring it. Training with your own equipment is always better. If you do not have your own equipment, please contact us in advance so that we can provide loaner firearms and gear.

Intuitive Defensive Shooting

 (1 Day)

The Intuitive Defense Shooting Program is an Intuitive shooting program designed to help the student be more Efficient with a defensive firearm in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident.

This course is two full days of intense training, teaching and practice. The course will cover the following topics:

  • Fundamentals of Defensive Shooting & Intuitive Skill Development

  • Combat Accuracy

  • Lateral Motion

  • The Balance of Speed & Precision

  • The Critical Incident Reload

  • Volume of Fire

  • Realistic Training for Multiple Target Engagement

  • Understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident

  • The Skill Development Cycle

  • One Handed & Weak Handed Shooting

  • Non-Diagnostic Linear Malfunction Clearing

  • Shooting in Motion (When, How & Why)

The Intuitive Defense Shooting Course is not designed to make you the best shooter you can be on the range, rather its goal is to help you quickly develop fundamental skills that you can apply in a worst case scenario defensive shooting situation.

IDS is based on years of constantly evolving information about how the body works and what really happens during Dynamic Critical Incidents and has been heavily influenced by the diverse group of instructors that are certified to teach it and the thousands of students who have been through courses all around the world. The program features a variety of specialty drills and training methods that the student will be able to utilize in the their own practice after the course in order to continue to develop their abilities.

Students will fire a minimum of 600 rounds.

Students are welcome to bring extra ammunition, as there will be certain drills where round count can easily be increased."

Advanced Pistol Application 

For those students that have completed our Fundamentals Course, and want to expand their skills. Advanced Pistol Application is a one day course that builds on the fundamentals. Pushing the student to apply their skills in more real world context. We focus on firearms manipulation, one handed, and support side shooting. We move on to environmental exploitation, and shooting in unorthodox, and broken positions. Using cover and shooting on the move. 

NOTE: Intuitive Defensive Shooting is a prerequisite for this course. 

Students will learn:

Balance of Speed and Precision as it relates to longer ranges

Shooting, malfunction clearing, and reloads, one handed, and support side

Working in a 360 degree environment
Broken and unorthodox shooting positions 
Use of cover, and environmental exploitation 
Shooting on the move

AN AWARD-WINNING CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAM

The single most important step toward ensuring your own safety is having a personal safety strategy in place before you need it. NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid becoming a victim. Seminars are held across the nation and are open to men and women of all ages. Today, hundreds of federal, state and local law enforcement officials from across the nation utilize this popular program in their crime prevention and community policing initiatives. Corporations, educational institutions and community centers have also adopted the program. All told, more than 100,000 people have benefited from these seminars.

The Refuse To Be A Victim® program is not a firearms or self-defense class. It’s a seminar that will help you improve personal safety strategies and will provide you with valuable information that you can apply in every area of your life.

Wyoming Tactical is set up to travel. If you are interested in hosting a class send us an email, and we will work with you to make it happen in your area.

Requirements for Hosting:

Help with Promoting the event. 

At least 6 students (not counting the host) 

Availability of a safe range site, with adequate vehicle access

Collecting range fees at the class (if any)

Host will help with set up of class, as well as arranging range booking, and helping WyoTac personnel with locating accommodations (if required)

Fundamentals of Defensive Pistol Level 1 

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals will guide you through the steps you’ll need to take to go from just sending rounds downrange to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense. From stance to grip to physical shooting technique, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior expert. You’ll get your body working with your gun instead of against it, you’ll learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under stress in a combat situation, and you’ll learn to apply this information simply and effectively – regardless of your skill level.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense 

This course exceeds Wyoming's requirements for a concealed handgun permit. This course is designed to educate the students on which handguns are best for concealed carry, how to carry them safely and securely, and how to deploy them efficiently in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident. This course introduces shooters to the core basics of the Defensive Shooting Program, as well as aspects of handgun ownership and other basic information geared toward the handgun owner. Based on science, logic and reasoning this conceptual course will cover basic pistol handling, holster selection, alternative force options and interacting with law enforcement and the aftermath of an incident. Skills learned in the classroom will be reinforced in the live fire range time. Equipment Requirements: Defensive Handgun (modern striker fire preferred), 100-150 Rounds of ammunition, Hearing and Eye protection, Range appropriate clothing (No shorts or open toed shoes). Minimum number of students (3) required to run the class or it may be canceled/ rescheduled.

NRA Basic Pistol 

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way for you to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! The course is the first steps for you to obtain the proper certification for your concealed carry permit in Wyoming.
